The Dance Space hosted two Knicks dancers recently who came to the Main Street, East Rockaway studio to teach choreography from their half-time show to some of the dance school’s students.

The studio held two workshops for their performance troupe dancers on Sunday Oct. 2. More than 50 kids between the ages of seven and 17 showed up to the event to learn the dances and get some autographs from Maria Carofano and Amanda Rebisz. The Dance Space dancers even had an opportunity to ask the KCD dancers about the audition process, and were given advice about being a professional dancer.

“Never give up!” Carofano told the dancers. “If you want to dance professionally you need to work hard, fight for it and never give up.”

“As always our dancers did great!” said Dance Space director and owner Lauren Quaranta. “I am so proud to be able to offer such a wonderful event at my studio. Days like today kids remember forever. It was such an pleasure to be a part of that moment.”
