The Levy-Lakeside Elementary School PTA in Merrick hosted its annual Welcome Back Picnic recently, and the threat of rain didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits as children of all ages and their families had fun outdoors dancing, eating and playing games of all types while reconnecting after the summer. Everyone also had the opportunity to meet the school’s new principal, Libby Trencheny. After the rain finally appeared, the party moved indoors without missing a beat and the fun continued.
