Enter the world of 1929 Berlin when the Tony award-winning show brings its energy and famous tunes to Tilles Center for two performances on Saturday, May 8, at 2 and 8 p.m. The Kit Kat Club’s Emcee sings “Welcome to the Cabaret” as the people of Berlin join in. Whatever your troubles, you will forget them at the Cabaret. Sally Bowles, the middle-class lass from Chelsea, is working as a singer at the Kit Kat Club, trying her best to live the decadent life which the city is supposed to offer. Into her orbit comes Cliff Bradshaw, a young American writer, and Sally moves into his room at Fraulein Schneider’s boarding house. As the clouds of war roll in, Sally, now pregnant by Cliff, is determined to show the world what a good time she is having. She may not hear the sounds of Nazism around her, but others can. With those famous musical numbers including “It Couldn’t Please Me More,” “Wilkommen,” “Cabaret,” “Don’t Tell Mama,” and “Two Ladies,” Cabaret will transport you back in time.

Tickets are $65, $50 and $40; available at (516) 299-3100 or (800) 745-3000 or www.tickemaster.com. Tilles Center for the Performing Arts, C.W. Post Campus, Rte. 25A, Brookville.
