Lights tell holiday stories at Jones beach

Long Island residents can once again experience the annual Magic of Lights Christmas display at Jones Beach, which opened Nov. 16 and will run through Dec. 30.

The 2.5-mile drive features lights that tell such Christmas stories as Candy Cane Lane, Snowflake Forest, the 12 Days of Christmas, Winter Wonderland and The Night Before Christmas. The display is open from dusk to

10 p.m.

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation in association with Live Nation and FunGuys Events joined to produce this show, according to a Parks Department news release.

“I encourage New Yorkers to make a visit to the enchanting Magic of Lights show at Jones Beach State Park a part of their holiday celebration,” State Parks Commissioner Rose Harvey said, in the release. “We are thrilled to partner with Live Nation to continue this wonderful family event again this season.”
