Local dentists work pro bono for Ukraine orphans

Posted

Oceanside Family Dental performed pro bono work on two impoverished children from the Ukraine as part of the organization Operation Hearts and Home, a Long Island charity dedicated to helping orphans worldwide.

According to Susan Bies, the orchestrator of the group of eight Ukrainian teenagers currently in America, the main purpose of the program is to help provide medical services that the orphans would otherwise be unable to receive.

In addition to dental work provided by dentists throughout Long Island, these eight children will also receive pro bono ophthalmological work from a doctor in New York City.
