Long Beach Patrol Lifeguard Sean Welsh, left, received the Congressional Nomination from Representative Peter King, a bestowed honor necessary to attend the United States Merchant Marines Academy at Kings Point. Sean will graduate from Saint Dominic High School in Oyster Bay in June. He is currently a two-time New York State Scholastic Men’s Rowing Champion, which he earned while competing with his schoolmates as members of the Sagamore Rowing Association in Oyster Bay.
