Hydrant flushing
April 18-29
The Long Beach City Council announced that the Long Beach Water Transmission Department will conduct hydrant flushing on April 18 through April 29 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
During the flushing procedure you may experience a temporary discoloration in your water. This can be remedied by running the tap for a few minutes in the morning after flushing has finished for the day. As a precaution, we recommend that you refrain from doing laundry between the hours of 10 p.m. and 10 a.m., and to continue monitoring your water to see that it is clear.
