Board meeting and work

session

The Long Beach Board of Education will hold a meeting on May 19 and May 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the middle school.

Board meeting time change

All Board of Education meetings will be starting at 7:30p.m. for the remainder of the school year

Budget-board votes

The vote for Long Beach School District budget and the Board of Trustee elections will be held from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on May 18. For information about registration, absentee ballots and polling locations, call the district clerk at 897-2108. There will be a board meeting at 10 p.m. at the middle school to announce the results.

Pre-prom meetings

There will be a Pre-prom/Morning Madness meetings on May 20 at 7:15 p.m. No students will be allowed to purchase a ticket to the prom or Morning Madness unless they attend one of these meetings with at least one parent or guardian. Prom safety will be discussed.

Swim 4 Humanity

The LBHS Surf Club will sponsor a Swim 4 Humanity fundraising event on May 16 at 12 p.m. at the high school swimming pool. Proceeds to benefit SurfAid International. To register visit
