Crime watch: Lynbrook, East Rockaway

Arrests

A 52-year-old man from Brooklyn was arrested on March 9 at 10 p.m. and charged with burglary for an incident that occurred on May 2, 2017, at a home on Earle Avenue.

On March 26 at 8:50 p.m., a Lynbrook man was arrested and charged with petit larceny and possession of stolen property stemming from an incident at the Lynbrook Diner on March 24.

A 27-year-old male from Lynbrook was arrested on March 27 at 7:40 p.m. and charged with assault, two counts of petit larceny and two counts of aggravated unlicensed operator on Smith Street.

A 45-year-old from Elmont was arrested on March 27 at 10 p.m. and charged with aggravated unlicensed operator, unlicensed operator and speeding on Hempstead Avenue.

On March 28 at 8:31 p.m., a 55-year-old Lynbrook man was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident stemming from an incident that occurred on March 18 on Hempstead Avenue.

A 46-year-old male from Skokie, Ill., was arrested on March 29 at 11:16 a.m. and charged with two counts of aggravated unlicensed operator and unlicensed operator on Sunrise Highway.

A 26-year-old from Jamaica, Queens, was arrested on March 31 at 9:57 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief and assault on Peninsula Boulevard.

On April 1 at 1:43 p.m., a 32-year-old from Lynbrook, was arrested and charged with assault and possession of a weapon on Evergreen Avenue.

Criminal Mischief

On March 28 at 4:40 a.m., a complainant, who lives on Scranton Avenue, reported that at around 4 a.m., a man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt broke through the gate of his fence. Approximate damage was $500.

Grand larceny

On March 28 at 8:43 p.m., an East Rockaway resident reported that he parked his vehicle on Second Street on March 25 at 6 p.m., and when he returned to it at 11 p.m., he found that his Mac Book Pro computer was stolen from the vehicle. Approximate damage was $3,200.
