Mostly Cloudy Lynbrook hosts Relay for Life fundraiser
4th annual fundraiser held at South Middle School
The Lynbrook Community hosted its fourth annual Relay For Life on Saturday, May 22 at the track of Lynbrook South Middle School on Union Avenue, from 5 p.m. until midnight. The event is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.
Cancer survivors — defined by the American Cancer Society as anyone who has received a cancer diagnosis, regardless of where you are in your treatment or recovery — were invited to a special Survivors Dinner that was held immediately before the opening ceremonies. Family members and those who helped them through their journey also attended the dinner.
