A crowd rocked out during performances by various bands and special guest Mark Mendoza of Twisted Sister during 9-1-1 ROCKtober: An Emergency Rockout benefit for the Malverne Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

As expected, 9-1-1 ROCKtober 2: An Emergency Rockout was a hit last Saturday night at the American Legion Hall on Franklin Avenue in Malverne.
Dozens came out to participate in a raffle and watch performances by various bands and special guest Mark Mendoza of Twisted Sister.
The event, created by 17-year-old Monica Weitekamp, was created to raise funds for the Malverne Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
