Malverne Select Choir wins big in competition

Posted

The Malverne High School Select Choir recently traveled to Virginia to compete in the High School Mixed Chorus Division A Competition and scored a rating of “Superior.”

The Select Choir earned a score of 92.5 in the national competition, a full 12 points above the second-highest ranked school in the competition. In addition to placing first in their own division, Malverne High School also placed first among all mixed choirs of every division in the nation, proving once again that the high school’s music program can compete nationally and be victorious.

The students represented Malverne extremely well, together with their teachers, and planned, organized and executed a successful trip.
