Malverne students deliver a giant drug-free message

Posted

In honor of Red Ribbon Week, more than 1,100 students and staff members from the Howard T. Herber Middle and Malverne High schools joined forces to deliver a powerful drug-free message.

The entire student body dressed in red and gathered on the middle-school field to form the words “Drug Free.” Red Ribbon Week celebrates drug awareness and asks students to pledge to remain drug-, alcohol- and tobacco-free.

The Malverne school district has actively participated in Red Ribbon Week for more than 20 years. This was just one of many special events and programs that took place throughout the district to celebrate Malverne’s commitment to encouraging a drug-free lifestyle for students of all ages.
