Man cut in assault at bar

Nassau County police report an early-morning Valentine's Day assault on a man at a Baldwin bar.

According to detectives, 1st Precinct police responded to a report at 3:49 a.m. Sunday of a disturbance at the Linx Bar, 2432 Grand Ave. They found a man in the rear of the building with a deep laceration to his face. The laceration, on the left side of the victim's face, stretched from the eye to the chin area, police said.

They said they did not know who cut the victim or what kind of object was used in the assault. The victim was taken by ambulance to a local hospital and treated.
