Man with knife robs Ultra gas station

Police are searching for a man who used a large kitchen knife to rob the Ultra gas station, at 360 N. Central Ave., on Dec. 24.

The suspect entered the station at 10:44 p.m. and told the clerk to open the cash registers, police said. The suspect took cash, then fled east toward Milford Lane.

No injuries were reported. There were no customers inside the gas station at the time.

The suspect was described as black and between 5-feet-10 and six feet tall with a thin build, and wearing a black facemask, black gloves, a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black sneakers.

Police did not say whether the robbery is being investigated as connected to any others in the village in recent months. They ask that anyone with information call (800) 244-TIPS.
