Martin Ave. joins Alice on an adventure

Posted

Sixth-graders at Martin Avenue Elementary School in North Bellmore recently turned out four performances of “Alice in Wonderland.” Students treated their parents and fellow classmates to a performance based on the Disney classic. The play was an adaptation of the movie as well as Lewis Carroll’s novels “The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland” and “Through the Looking Glass.”

Audience members were treated to the tale of a girl who finds herself in Wonderland and the adventures and struggles she faces to get home. The sixth-graders performed classics from the Disney movie like “I’m Late” and “The Unbirthday Song.” The sixth-grade play has become an annual tradition that is funded by the Martin Avenue PTA.
