Nassau County Legislator Joe Scannell (D-Baldwin) invites constituents to a Megan’s Law seminar on Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. in the Baldwin Public Library, 2385 Grand Avenue.

Scannell will have experts on hand from the nationally recognized Parents for Megan’s Law to offer tips for parents and children on how to recognize a dangerous situation. Scannell has worked with leading child safety advocates, including the executive director of Parents for Megan’s Law.

“Protecting our children,” said Scannell, “is the most vital issue facing us today. Parents can take certain steps to protect children from dangerous individuals. This seminar will give families much needed advice in the safeguarding of our children.”
