East Rockaway

8 a.m. – Interfaith service at St.Raymond’s Church, Atlantic Ave.., East Rockaway

10 a.m. – parade will start at VFW Post on Main Street; ceremony at grandstand at Memorial Park; Hot dogs and light refreshments served in the park afterward.

Following Parade there will be a laying of the wreaths ceremony at the Grand Canal in Bay Park.

Lynbrook

Patriot’s Weekend: Sunday May 30 through Monday, May 31 at Greis Park & the Streets of Lynbrook

Sunday: The Lynbrook Village Pool will be open and free to all Lynbrook Residents from 3 to 8 p.m. A special Veteran’s VIP Tent 

3 p.m. - Opening Ceremony at Greis Park

3:30 p.m. - Mayor’s Picnic sponsored by Astoria Federal Savings

3:30 - 7 p.m. - Amusement for Kids

n 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. Music by the LHS Jazz Band at the Gazebo

4:30 - 5:30 p.m. - Magic Show for kids at the Gazebo 

8 p.m. approximate: Fireworks - “A Salute to our Veterans” 

Rain date Monday, May 31 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 pm

Monday, May 31: 

7:45 a.m. - Breakfast at the VFW Post 2307

9 a.m. - Assembly for Post Service

 9:45 a.m. - Memorial Day Parade, starting at Charles St. and Merrick Road, followed by Doughboy Service at monument.
