The Town of Hempstead will be bringing its Mobile Town Hall to Oceanside and Island Park later this month.

The Mobile Town Hall will be in Oceanside on Oct. 23 from 10 a.m. to noon at Oceanside Parking Field OC-14, located on Long Beach Road at Harrison Avenue.

It will be in Island Park on Oct. 30, also from 10 a.m. to noon, at the Island Park Village Hall, located at 127 Long Beach Road.

The Mobile Town Hall will provide a variety of services. Residents will be able to apply for passports, safeguard their children with a child identification kit, adopt a pet from the Town Animal Shelter and voice concerns to Town Supervisor Kate Murray, Councilman Anthony Santino and Town Clerk Mark Bonilla.

“The Mobile Town Hall is wonderful convenience for residents,” said Murray. “Providing vital services directly to local communities makes doing business with the town easier and more accommodating.”

“In addition to enabling residents to apply for passports, place their children in the Child Emergency Identification Program or adopt a pet, the mobile unit allows neighbors to address any issues to Supervisor Murray, myself or the town clerk face to face, one on one,” Santino said. “I look forward to meeting with Island Park residents and any other visitors to our mobile town hall.”
