Mosquito spraying Thursday in Valley Stream

Nassau County will be ground spraying to help control mosquitoes which may be carrying the West Nile virus. Spraying in the Valley Stream area Stream will take place this Thursday, Aug. 5, from 7 p.m. to midnight. Rain dates are Aug. 9, 10 and 11.

Spraying will take place within a one-mile radius of the mosquito trap located on Putney Road between Clayton and Stafford Roads. Children and pets especially should stay indoors.
