Nearby things to do this week

The villages of Lynbrook and East Rockaway will be having their annual Easter egg hunts on April 15. Lynbrook’s, which takes place at the Recreation Center at Greis Park, located at 55 Wilbur St., will have a magic show at 9:30 a.m., with the egg hunt immediately following. There will be about 8,000 eggs for children 10 and younger to find. The event will also feature face painting, Easter Bunny pictures, crafts, bouncy rides and raffles. The event is only open to Lynbrook residents, who must pre-register at the Recreation Center. At the East Rockaway Recreation Center, located at 17 John St., there will be cookie decorating and spring crafts at noon with an egg hunt at 12:15 p.m., and an appearance by the Easter Bunny.
