North Spartans cook for Bethany House

Posted

Six members of North High School’s Spartans Taking on Problems—or, STOP—Club recently visited Bethany House in Baldwin. Bethany House is a nonprofit that provides housing and aid to single mothers in need.

Accompanied by adviser Catherine Modzelewski, STOP Club members prepared dinner for Bethany House families, delicious meals that included chicken cutlets, roast chicken and rice, sausage and peppers, rice and peas, vegetables, salad, and garlic bread.

After dinner, the students engaged in holiday-themed craft making and played games with the children at Bethany House.

The children were having so much fun they did not want the students to leave, noted school officials. The students in attendance were Amelia Avila, Imani Brockington, Isabella Burmann, Ariana Polizzi, Jolie Ramnarine, and Breanna Shivnarain.
