Oceanside and Island Park schools closed Jan. 12

Even before the wet, heavy snow flakes began falling, the Oceanside School District announced that it would be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 12.

The Island Park School District also announced that it would be closed on Jan. 12.

According to the National Weather Service, Oceanside is set to receive 8 to 14 inches of snow Tuesday night into Wednesday. Island Park is predicted to receive less -- about 7 to 12 inches.
