Oceanside Community Service's Saint Patrick’s-themed fundraiser raises ‘the green’ for those in need

Oceanside Community Service’s “Luck o’the iPad” raffle/fundraiser concluded on March 17 at J Paul’s Terrace Café when Danielle Napolitano reached into the iPad2 raffle bucket at 11 p.m. and pulled a ticket bought by Sandie Schoell. Proceeds from the raffle fundraiser topped $3,400. Every penny raised will go to help Oceansiders in need thanks to sponsorship by Bonbino’s Pizza, The Herald/PrimeTime, J Paul’s Terrace Café, Minuteman Press of Rockville Centre, the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce and South Nassau Communities Hospital.

OCS President Bob Transom would also like to thank Oceanside Schools and members of Oceanside Community Service who helped sell tickets for this community cause.

If you didn’t get a chance to participate in the raffle, you can still help others with a contribution to the organization’s year-round community assistance efforts, including an out-going food pantry at School 6.
