Posted

An Oceanside family was left homeless on Christmas Eve after flames claimed their Chance Drive house.

Firefighters responded just after 8 p.m., on Dec. 24, to find the home already fully engulfed in flames, according to reports. Several other departments assisted the Oceanside Fire Department in putting out the flames.

No one was home at the time, and no injuries were reported.

The Nassau County Fire Marshal and the arson bomb squad detectives both responded to the scene, and the investigation is continuing. No other details were released.
