Oceanside Schools Patriot Clubs honor vets

The Oceanside Patriot Club’s Field of Honor.

Both the Oceanside Middle School and High School have a Patriot Club that acknowledges, honors and remembers current and former U.S. Military personnel that were part of the Oceanside High School community. Every year the students “sell” flags to raise funds that are donated to Veteran causes. A flag costs $25, and is purchased I the name of an Oceanside veteran. Those flags are ‘planted’ in a Field of Honor, showing the community’s pride in its local servicemen.
