To introduce communities to its new programs, The Center for Science Teaching and Learning invites everyone to drop in at an open house this Saturday and Sunday — March 6 and 7 from 1 – 4 p.m. The center is located in the Tanglewood Preserve, a 12-acre refuge with nature trails and ponds throughout. The CSTL, a not-for-profit organization, also announced the creation of new nursery school for three-year-olds. “Nature’s Kids,” is a program designed to introduce children to the wonders of nature while teaching them all of the skills they will need as they grow. It is scheduled to open in September 2010.

“We are very excited to bring this program to people who are looking for a place for their child where nature and nurture comes together,” said Dr. Ray Ann Havasy, director of the science center. For more information visit www.cstl.org or call (516) 764-0045.
