The baseball season officially opened for the North Bellmore-North Merrick Little League last weekend. The annual kick-off parade was held on Saturday, and started behind Saw Mill Road School and ended at Gunther Field.
All teams displayed their banners with pride, but the Sea Dogs took first place for theirs.
North Bellmore Superintendent Arnold Goldstein, School Board President JoAnn DeLauter, Trustee Joe Perrone, Hempstead Town Clerk Mark Bonilla, Councilwoman Angie Cullin, Nassau County Legislator Dave Denenberg and state Sen. Charles Fuschillo all enjoyed the celebrations.
