Pedestrian struck in Lynbrook
Accident on Merrick Road near North Middle School

On Sept. 12, a man who was about to get into his car on Merrick Road near North Middle School was struck by a passing car and thrown to the ground, sustaining injuries to his left leg. The passing car then hit a parked car.
The Lynbrook Fire Department’s Emergency Medical Company responded to the scene and stabilized the injured man and transported him to the hospital. The driver of the car did not need medical assistance. EMT’s Corey Hirsch and Katie O’Connor, pictured, tended to the injured man as Lynbrook Fire Chief Anthony DeCarlo, upper left, assisted.
