Performers needed for Wantagh variety show

The Wantagh Foundation for Educational Excellence will be holding a variety show fundraiser on Saturday, March 19 at 8 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The show will be in memory of former middle school Principal Dr. Jeanette Stern. The Foundation is looking for participants of all ages, including students, teachers and community members.

To audition, prospective performers are asked to send a one-minute video of his or her planned act. Group performances are welcome.

Acts could include singing, dancing, playing an instrument, puppeteers, stand-up comedy and more. Along with the video, please include the name of the performers and their ages, the name of the piece, and the estimated duration of the act. Entries are due by Feb. 28.

The Foundation is also looking for stagehands, ushers and other helpers for the evening. To submit an entry, to volunteer or for more information, email Austin Costello at wantaghvariety@gmail.com.
