Police investigate shots fired in Elmont

Nassau County police are investigating an incident of reckless endangerment that involved a report of shots fired in Elmont late Monday night.

According to police, a homeowner reported a black male wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt pacing in the driveway of a home, on a cell phone, on James Street at 11:20 p.m. The homeowner then heard shots fired and saw a white vehicle with a shattered left rear window, after which the male left the scene.

No injuries were reported, but detectives are investigating the incident, and request anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
