Police investigating Atlantic Beach death

Nassau police found an unconscious man by the Silver Point Beach Club in Atlantic Beach. He was pronounced dead at an area hospital.

Responding to a 911 call, Nassau County police found an unidentified man unconscious near the shore in proximity of the Silver Point Beach Club in Atlantic Beach at 7:24 p.m. on Nov. 2, police said.

The man was taken to a local hospital where a doctor pronounced him dead, according to police. The investigation is ongoing.
