Police investigating Wantagh assault

Nassau County Police are seeking four men who attacked another man in Wantagh last month. The incident occurred at about 3:50 a.m. on Nov. 15 at Park Avenue and Beech Street.

According to 7th Squad detectives, a 25-year-old man was walking along Park Avenue when he became involved in an argument with a person he did not know. The unknown man and three others then assaulted the victim, according to police. The man fell to the ground and suffered multiple contusions and a laceration to his head, which required stitches.

The four suspects fled on foot towards the Wantagh train station.

The first suspect is described as a white male with a medium build, approximately 20 years old, with short black wavy hair, wearing a long-sleeve blue plaid shirt, blue jeans and brown boots.

The second suspect is described as a white male with a medium build, 18-20 years old, wearing a white and black knit cap, black sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and sneakers. There were no descriptions of the other two suspects.

Police have released surveillance footage of the first two suspects from the nearby 7-Eleven.
