Police searching for two who vandalized vehicles

Damage at mall estimated at $111,000

Nassau County police are looking for two people they say spray-painted graffiti in a parking garage at the Green Acres Mall on Sunday, writing on the garage floor and walls as well as 28 vehicles belonging to a Toyota dealership, causing $111,000 in damage, according to police.

The subjects entered the garage between 6:30 a.m. and 11:26 p.m. and spray-painted graffiti, including a racial slur, on floors, walls and vehicles belonging to Advantage Toyota Scion parked on the garage’s fourth level. The damaged vehicles were three 2017 Toyota Camrys, eight 2016 Toyota Camrys, one 2015 Toyota Camry, seven Toyota RAV4s, one Toyota Avalon, two Toyota Highlanders, two 2014 Toyota Siennas, three 2016 Toyota Siennas and one 2016 Toyota Tundra.

The first subject was described as a black male with a light complexion between 16 and 20 years old, between 5-feet-4 and 5-feet-7 with a medium build and wearing a white T-shirt. The second subject was described as a Hispanic male between 16 and 20 years old, between 5-feet-4 and 5-feet-7 with a slim build and wearing a red and gray T-shirt and red bandana.
