Power outages in Lynbrook
Thousands of residents without electricity

Thousands of Lynbrook residents were without power on Friday afternoon. According to the Long Island Power Authority, more than 2,500 residents were without power for a period of time, but that number then shrunk to less than 1,500 as crews were in the area.
The estimated time of restoration for Lynbrook residents to regain power was 4 p.m. Friday, according to LIPA’s website.
LIPA officials could not immediately be reached for comment.
