Rep. Carolyn McCarthy brought representatives from the Department of Education and the banking industry together recently to talk to students and parents from her district about applying for financial aid for college.
The event was held at South Side High School and focused on the loan and grant application process, what to expect when applying, and what the various options are when paying back student loans.
