The week before the Giants get ready to face off against the Patriots, two other age-old rivals faced off on the gridiron: the Island Park and Point Lookout -Lido Fire Departments.
The game, the third annual one the teams have played, is held as a fundraiser every year. Last year, they raised funds for the Nassau County Burn Center. This year, the two teams raised about $5,000 for the Nassau County Fire Fighter’s Museum.
The two teams played at Hofstra’s James Shuart Stadium. And in the end, Island Park took the victory yet again.
