Rock and wrap it up

Mr. Met teamed up with Rock and Wrap it Up to launch its snack wrap program at Covert Elementary School on March 2. The snack wrap program encourages students to donate unopened manufactured snacks they don’t eat. The NY Mets have sponsored a recycle box that will be placed in the cafeteria in each participating school — including Covert— encouraging the collection and distribution of snacks to local community centers, pantries, shelters and after school programs. In the photo at right, Covert students were joined by Rockville Centre resident Rose Foley, RWU’s national school program coordinator, back row left, Principal Darren Raymar and school aide Angie Gula.
