People named in Crime Watch items as having been arrested and charged with violations or crimes are only suspected of committing those acts of which they are accused. They are all presumed to be innocent of those charges until and unless found guilty in a court of law.

Arrests

A 30-year-old Island Park man was arrested April 5 and charged with disorderly conduct after an investigation at Quealy Place, Rockville Centre.

On April 5 a 29-year-old man from Brooklyn was arrested and charged with petit larceny and a bench warrant for driving while intoxicated after an investigation on Sunrise Highway.

A 25-year-old woman from Oceanside Road, Rockville Centre was arrested on April 7 and charged with criminal mischief after an investigation on Sunrise Highway.

A 55-year-old man from Locust Avenue, Rockville Centre was arrested on april 8 and charged with harassment and disorderly conduct after an investigation on Locust Avenue.

Larceny

A resident of N. Long Beach Road, Rockville Centre reported on April 2 that someone stole property, including an iPod, driver license, cash card and $20 from his unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the driveway.

The next day, a resident of Stonehenge Road, Rockville Centre reported that someone stole a Canon digital camera and approximated $5 in coins from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked in her driveway. The owner of Janowski’s, at 15 S. Long Beach Road, reported on April 4 that an employee was observed on surveillance video stealing a $50 bill from the store register.

The same day, three students from South Side Middle School reported that someone stole their iPhones while they were attending school. The stolen property was recovered from two SSMS students after an investigation at the school.

A resident of Yale Place, Rockville Centre reported on April 5 that someone stole $16,900 from his residence.

The same day, a resident of Lincoln Court, Rockville Centre reported that someone stole his Red Boost cell phone and charger from his apartment.

A resident of Driscoll Avenue, Rockville Centre reported on April 7 that his 2010 Hyundai was stolen from his driveway.

Unusual Incident

A resident of Aldred Avenue, Rockville Centre reported that someone opened an account with Union Power Cooperative in her name without authorization, resulting in a delinquent bill for $275.55.

Assault

A resident of Milburn Road, Valley Stream reported on March 7 that he was assaulted by three men while in Municipal Parking Field 1.

A resident of Maple Street, Malverne reported on April 8 that he was assaulted by someone while at RJ Daniels, located at 279 Sunrise Highway.

Criminal Mischief

A resident of N. Long Beach Road reported on April 3 that someone damaged six floodlights valued at $1,200.

A resident of Hampshire Road, Rockville Centre reported on March 6 that someone damaged the windshield to his 1994 Honda while it was parked in Municipal Parking Field 9.

The owner of Long Island Outdoorsman, at 438 Sunrise Highway, reported on April 7 that someone damaged a front window to the store.

The same day, a resident of N. Lewis Place, Rockville Centre reported that someone damaged the living room window to his residence with a rock.

The same day, a resident of Devon Street, Malverne reported that someone he knew from Overlook Lane, Rockville Centre damaged the windshield to his 1996 Lexus while it was parked in Municipal Parking Field 1.

A resident of Strathmore Lane, Rockville Centre reported on April 8 that someone damaged the glass of the screen door in the front of his residence.

The next day, an attorney from Pacing way, Westbury reported that someone damaged a glass window to his office located at 430 Sunrise Highway.

Property Damage

A resident of Princeton Street, Rockville Centre reported on April 4 that the rear window of her 2010 Lexus was broken by unknown means while it was parked in her driveway.

The same day, a resident of Rockaway Avenue, Rockville Centre reported that as he was passing a village sanitation truck on Davison Place, Rockville Centre, his 2011 Honda was damaged by an unknown sticky substance that sprayed from the rear chamber of the truck.
