The Recreation Center’s annual Kids Fest Open House drew a large, enthusiastic crowd last Saturday.
From noon to 4 p.m., families visited the center and its parking lot, enjoying refreshments, give-aways, rides and other attractions. Representatives from many of the village’s youth organizations were there, as were members of the Rockville Centre fire and police departments, the post office, library and Lions Club, among others. The Nassau County Police Department returned and once again landed a helicopter for the kids to inspect and sit inside.
