Coinciding with the start of the holiday season, Sen. Dean Skelos and South Nassau Communities Hospital are partnering up to collect new toys and new clothing to give to families who are struggling or who may have fallen on hard times.
All toys and clothing collected will be distributed to various social service agencies in Nassau County and these agencies will then distribute the items to families in need.
Individuals or organizations wishing to participate can drop off their donations to Skelos’s district office at 55 Front Street, on or before Dec. 17. For more information, call (516) 766-8383.
