Rockville Centre Operation Medicine Cabinet a successful operation

Nassau County Legislator Joe Scannell (D-Baldwin) and his son, Brian, third from right, stopped in on the Rockville Centre Youth Council’s recent Operation Medicine Cabinet, held in village police headquarters, to give community residents the opportunity to dispose of expired, unused or unwanted drugs in an environmentally safe manner.

Scannell was joined by Rockville Centre Youth Council vice chairs Mike Caffrey and Beth Hammerman, second from right and Rockville Centre Village Trustee Ed Oppenheimer, left, former Trustee Jeanne Mulry, Jeanette Meoli, Rockville Centre Police Commissioner Charles Gennario and Deputy Mayor Chuck Joyce.

The Rockville Centre Youth Council is a non-profit organization designed to ensure a safe, nurturing social community for the development of value-driven youth with respect for themselves and others. It serves as a prevention model for the Rockville Centre youth community in developing violence, drug and alcohol-free projects.
