“The target dates for both the village and us,” said Rockville Centre school Superintendent Dr. William Johnson, referring to the inter municipal agreements being forged between the schools and the village, “was tonight, but we will work as hard as possible to get the documents completed and shipped off to the boards“ (in time for the next school board meeting on April 20 and the April 29 village meeting).

In his remarks during the public work session on April 8, Johnson said the school district has been “actively involved in working over the last few weeks with actual documents” and that it had only received a draft copy of the Fireman’s Field agreement the night before.

“We’re hopeful that we will have an agreement [soon],” Johnson said.
