Rockville Centre's graduates were ready for their big night out

Posted

It wasn’t hard to spot them: a look around Rockville Centre on the evening of June 24 revealed that it was a special night as limos and party buses lined the streets.

Elegantly attired teens in prom dresses and heels, and in crisp tuxes with boutonnieres added color to the neighborhood as pre-prom parties, like one hosted by the Wamboldt family on Plymouth Road popped up all over town.

South Side High School’s students celebrated at their annual prom at Carltun on the Park. After dinner and dancing, the class of 2010 continued its party with the PTA-sponsored post-prom festivities at Dave and Busters in Farmingdale.

The event, which lasted until 3 a.m. offered games, food and prizes for all who attended. When it ended, students were bused back home to catch a bit of sleep before their early-morning graduation rehearsal and commencement later the next day.
