This past weekend, the Village of Rockville Centre held its second annual RVC Holiday Lights event with residents putting up elaborate displays for families to drive around and see. This year’s event went for a whole weekend instead of the one-nighter it was in its debut last year.
The 55 entries overall were separated into five categories: the Clark Griswold, Martha Stewart, Party of Lights, Best Block, and Family Friendly. According to Deputy Mayor Kathleen Baxley, over 2,700 votes were cast for this year’s event. The winners were to be announced on Thursday through the village website and social media pages, after the Herald went to press.
