Sacred Heart students learn fire safety

Sacred Heart Elementary School in North Merrick marked National Fire Prevention Month in October with a lesson from the Hempstead Fire Department. The pre-school and kindergarten students learned the basics of keeping themselves safe in a fire and had the chance to climb atop a fire engine.
