Santa visits St. William school

Posted

Santa has been making numerous appearances lately, and on Dec. 11 he was at St. William the Abbot School in Seaford.

The school hosted its annual Breakfast with Santa for students in nursery school, pre-K, kindergarten and first grade. Parent volunteers helped children make reindeer ornament crafts, and they also cooked and served pancakes.

Linda Montalbano was one of the parent “elves” who helped coordinate the event. A St. William graduate herself, she has a daughter in kindergarten. Montalbano said about 160 children attended the breakfast. Each got an opportunity to sit with Santa on a small stage decorated with trees, lights and cartoon characters. They were able to share their Christmas wish lists, and have a photo taken.

“They look forward to it every year,” Montalbano said. “It’s a tradition for them. They will remember this for years.”
