The Christmas Tree was lit for the first time this season last Saturday evening at the Seaford Fire Department’s annual holiday lighting ceremony, which went on despite a steady rain.

The rain drops were falling at a steady pace, but that did not stop the Seaford Fire Department’s 41st annual tree lighting ceremony for going on as planned last Saturday night. Most of the events on Dec. 6, including musical performances and visits from Santa, Frosty and Rudolph, were moved indoors. The illuminated tree and village are located near the firehouse on Southard Avenue and will be there for all to enjoy over the coming weeks.
