Cirque Du Soleil explores the mystical lore of the dragon when the contemporary circus troupe brings its signature production “Dralion” to Nassau Coliseum, Wednesday through Sunday, Sept. 5-9.

East meets West as the Cirque du Soleil performers soar to new heights as they defy the laws of nature in “Dralion.” Fusing the 3,000 year-old tradition of Chinese acrobatic arts with the multidisciplinary approach of Cirque du Soleil, the show draws its inspiration from Eastern philosophy and the never-ending quest for harmony between humans and nature. The name is derived from its two emblematic creatures: the dragon, symbolizing the East, and the lion, symbolizing the West. In Cirque Du Soleil’s intriguing world of “Dralion,” cultures blend, man and nature are one and balance is achieved in this dynamic display of acrobatic agility and theatrics.

Tickets are $40-$75, $36-$63 seniors and students, $32-$61 children 12 and under; available at (800) 745-3000 or www.ticketmaster.com or www.cirquedusoleil.com/dralion. Nassau Coliseum, Uniondale.
