Shoppers flock to fall flea market

Members of the Valley Stream Lions Club were on hand to run the organization’s 22nd annual flea market, which was held last Saturday afternoon under sunny skies at the Hendrickson pool parking lot on Merrick Road.

The Valley Stream Lions Club hosted its annual flea market last Saturday at the Hendrickson pool parking lot. The event raises money for various Lions Club initiatives including scholarships for graduating high school students, a dance for the visually impaired and donations to local charities.
The flea market featured numerous vendors selling items suchs as toys, jewelry and handmade crafts. Another big hit was the Lions Club pumpkin patch — appropriate for the first day of fall.
